The Tudwick Foundation is a grant-giving body founded in 2019 by members of the Bennett family. The foundation strives to provide financial support to communities and charitable organisations in Essex and Suffolk.

What do we do?

Traditional garden sheds can often be quite solitary in nature, while Men’s Shed are quite the opposite They are about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge and of course, laughter. Sheds are about meeting like-minded people and having someone to share your worries with. They are about having fun, sharing skills and knowledge with one another, and gaining a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. As a by-product of all that, they reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness, they allow people to deal with mental health challenges more easily and remain independent, they re-build community and in some cases, they help save lives.

We are a voluntary group which rely on the donations of our supporters.
We are part of a nationwide network of similar projects, and
we are already building links with other mental health
organisations locally.
We would be delighted to show you the good work that is going
on to create our new base.
